GENERAL DERMATOLOGY
We provide a full range of medical and cosmetic dermatologic services. Below are a few of the most common conditions we treat, with remarkable results.
Acne
Though often associated with teens, acne can strike at any age. It is often most severe in adult women, becoming painful and embarrassing. We offer several effective treatments, including lasers, creams, and oral medications.
Rosacea
Patients afflicted with acne often have rosacea as well, but it can develop independently. Although there is no known permanent cure, it can be effectively controlled.
Eczema
This itchy rash can develop on any area of the body. It can be treated with ultraviolet light and topical agents.
Mole Removal
Cancerous moles are often confused with benign moles. We provide cancer screening and treatment, as well as aesthetic removal of benign moles.
Hair Loss/Scalp Conditions
Thinning hair or balding can be hereditary or caused by factors such as styling practices. Dr. Breadon provides a variety of advanced treatment options.
Razor Bumps
With today's advanced lasers, we can provide effective treatment without the risk of scarring. We also provide a pharmaceutical grade, specialized compound to minimize the bumps and discoloration.
Warts
These small rough bumps are caused by the Human Papillomavirus. They can be removed by a variety of methods, including topical medications and laser therapy.
Skin Tags
Tiny benign tumors known as skin tags are not harmful, but they are unsightly and irritating. Fortunately, they are easily removed without scarring.
Vitiligo
These milky white areas result from the loss of skin pigmentation. They are treated with phototherapy, as well as topical agents.
Molluscum Contagiosum
This condition, causing pearly white bumps, is most common in children. It is not dangerous, but it is contagious.
Melasma
These heavily pigmented patches of skin are often triggered by hormonal changes and may be aggravated by sun exposure. They are treated with chemical peels and topical creams.
Seborrheic Dermatitis
Dandruff, as this condition is more commonly called, can occur on the scalp, around the ears, eyebrows, and smile line. In men, it is also common in the beard. It cannot be permanently cured, but it can be well controlled.
Psoriasis
This condition, characterized by scaly, itchy, or red patches, can occur on any area of the body. Biologic agents have revolutionized psoriasis treatment, yielding amazing results.
Nail Disease
Fingernails or toenails that seem to be deformed or "grow funny" are most likely infected with a fungus. We use a very safe medication that keeps the new nail growth healthy, gradually replacing the affected nail.
