A few of the conditions commonly treated with lasers include:

Acne is a common skin condition, affecting people of all ages. Dr. Breadon offers comprehensive treatment, using a variety of methods. For mild to moderate acne, many patients prefer laser treatment. We have several lasers, including Aesthera PPx™ and Isolaz, all of which work very well for acne. Oral antibiotics may be recommended for some severe cases.

Sun damage can speed the overall aging process of your skin and cause a variety of problems. Treatment will likely involve a variety of procedures, including laser therapy. Photopneumatic™ Therapy is a technologically advanced light treatment that yields impressive results, treating sun damage without pain.

Sunspots and brown-pigmented spots are usually treated with the Alex laser. A single treatment may be sufficient to achieve full results. Rarely are more than two sessions necessary. The process is comfortable, though you may feel a bit of heat. We use a special device to chill the skin during treatment, to minimize discomfort. Following
treatment there will be mild, superficial scabbing, which will look a bit like coffee grounds on your skin. It is important to let them fall off naturally – it typically takes about four days.

Broken capillaries can be caused by many factors, most commonly rosacea. They respond very well to laser treatment. There are several treatment options. The most effective is the pulsed dye laser, which can achieve complete correction in a single treatment. However, it will leave the skin looking bruised for about a week.

We also offer an alternative treatment using IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). It is kinder and gentler, but several sessions are needed to achieve optimal results.

Laser technology is one of the greatest advances in modern medicine. However, these sophisticated devices are only as good as the technician operating them! Come to Aesthetic Dermatology and Laser Surgery, where you will receive quality care from experienced medical professionals.
